I did the six cell upgrade yesterday, its a pain soldering those wires on to the micro plug lol. It was definitely worth it though i noticed a lot more power, I also tried the spinbrush mod it worked out but i didnt notice a big difference.

heres a picture of the six cell tho

you mean you took the mags from a spinbrush motor, and put them in your motor? if you did thats gives more tourqe, and way less speed

Well done. I like when people take it upon themselves to do a home brew upgrade. The heatshrink needs a little bit more shrinking though. Other than that great job

Also, I bet you didn't think those plugs would get hot when you soldered to them They caught me by surprise the first time, heat immediately travels through all of the pins and even the plastic.

yeah dude the heatshrink is bunk or something lol i heated it ALOT and it never got tight, although where its attached by my soldering it did shrink very tight on there, you cant move it by pullin on it so I guess its ok. and yeah those plugs do get super hot I messed up on one and the red paint on the plug was starting to turn almost black lol. But again this upgrade is worth the time and the like 4 dollars to make it lol.

I dunno if anyone thats watching this topic has 6th cell'd a scion, but i cant get the box to fit up under the body, ive cut and shaved every last thing inside the body and it still sits too high in front any suggestions on making a better fit?

Make it horizontal across the board, that SHOULD fit. May have to modify the wires; resolder.

I bought a single stack of FETs for my evo, but I dont plan on tryin to add them just yet lol. I am planning to buy a mini z, or a electric HPI rc car once I get either one ima try to solder the FETs on, that way if I fry it I got somethin else to mod and mess with lol.

What are you talking about? Those are the best conditions for me, lol. I can't solder without energy drinks, and I can't solder while its light outside for some reason...

Back on topic. That car is really starting to shape up. Any ideas for future upgrades?

Not yet, i may go with some GPM parts probably the knuckles and dogbones with the axle stubs other then that I dunno. As i said before im looking to get a mini-z so if I do that I'll prolly leave the xmod with what it has and upgrade the mini z. I was also looking in to the on-road nitro cars does anyone own one of these, im looking for some advice on them. I cant make a decision if i want another electric r/c or something with a ton more power lol, in the long run im sure a nitro car will cost me a lot more but they look like a lot of fun.

With my barricade, the 6 cell in it is an extremely tight fit! I pulled off the little taps in it, and gonna try to see if that helps more. I think I fried it though. Anyways, nice Scion.
