http://ultimatexmods.com/index.php?topic=230.0 <servo rebuild instructions, you could have put the internal gears in wrong...
These arent the strongest servos.. But you need to get that pinion gear on straight, otherwise it's just gonna bust up the gear over time from skipping so much,

No intention of selling this. I buy my Xmods and keep them. Hidden. Stashed away in a small compartment.

It's been a while, so I guess it's ok to double post...
I (my mommy helped) bought a Tamiya Gearbox (FTW). So, I've ditched the servo and now need to use an F-150 body instead of a Titan body. The two things that concern me is: 1) How do I mount it? 2) What do I use instead of the "Stock" hex-shaft because it's too wide for the wheels? 3) How do I put a gear on to connect it to the other gear to run the Xmods?

I can help you with that it is pretty simple. You definatly are going to need carbon brushes and for a little more torque neo's
PM me for details.

Find a way to cut that shaft out then You'll have to find a gear that can be conected to that shaft. (the one wich gonna mesh on the main gear)
Dont forget to grease the gears and the worm gear. Dig out texan s-10 thread. very useful. It has all the answer you need. |

Ohh it's called the main gear oops o well. Texan's s-10 will help too. I cut the shafts with a dremmel and a hand saw. I got my gearbox in front of me installed so i can help as best as i can.

No, use grease. Silicone spray won't stay for long at all.
Bend that tab all the way around so it's in teh D shapped hole on the bottom of the gear box. Scew it into the top screw hole for the motor holder on the case. Was it you who I said I was going to find a gear for? Once you have a gear to use, mesh it up with the xmods gear. then mark the a hole in the xmods gear cover for the gearbox shaft to go through, and drill. This holds the gear box in place, and keeps it meshing with the xmod.

Looks good so far...
Can't wait to see the gearbox installed! Not a fan of the tires, though... But it's coming along!

Is it the left "D" hole or the right one?

look at the bottom of the gear box next to those tabs. You see those D-shaped holes/cutouts? Bend the tab I'm pointing at into that D shaped hole.

Wait until you get a gear to dril.
The xmods can won't hold right in the case, just so you know. I just stuck a stage1 arm, mags, and brushs in Tamiya endball and can. Otherwise, the xmods can doesnt slip the area around the pinion into the hole on the gear box.
