It will be a "Need only this" kit to be driving side by side with the Zs, the cost will be very low and there won't be any other conversion that could compare to the performance you'll get with this kit and the price should be within everybodies grasp. It will include the following:

-XMA010D knuckle/suspension conversion kit.
-Trix Chassis (similar to a stilletto but will have battery slots for 4 AAA cells and some design changes. The top plate is designed to accomodate an iwaver/firelap/RV/Mini-Z board)
-iwaver board or RV board (w/ deans plug for battery hook-up, and motor wire)
-Trix AAA 4s battery pack (designed with deans plug and quick change out)

I am hoping to keep the price under $75.00 ... Right now people already put Mini-Z boards ($89) in their Xmods and that doesn't even compare to what this kit will offer. I will also just offer the chassis and knuckle/suspension kits alone, for those who can make their own battery pack and have a mini-z type board already... Im hoping to keep that kit under $35.00 ... We will see how it goes.

This is interesting and extremely cool, however, I would like to mention that it would not likely be suitable for racing against Mini-Zs at most respectable events. Not because of physical limitations. This is due to the nature of 1/28 scale events and their rules.

As an example I offer you the HFAY online point series. Most events have similar rules and classes.

Stock class rules:

Electronics: Mini-Z

Kyosho ESC only. This includes the new 2.4ghz and the AD Band ESCs. FET
modifications and capacitors are allowed.!

Iwaver (all)
Iwaver ESC only. FET modifications and capacitors allowed.
Xmods

(Gen 1 and EVO) Xmod ESC only, The “Tight Turn” upgrade is permitted on the
Gen 1 Xmod only. FET modifications and capacitors are allowed.

Of course, you could run "Mod class". Its unlikely that this setup would be competitive alongside the MRCG 1.1 and other custom chassis for the Mini-Z. I run my stock chassis MIni-Z in most mod classes, I just don't expect to win (and I never come close). In HFAY, mod class is only time trials, they are not actual races and no points are awarded.

I am very aware of those guidelines. Thanks man, good post for members info. But we are talking about racing with friends and in general, making an Xmod a bit more race worth for fun not competition at a low cost.....

I dont even have that! I just get to drive 'em around myself. I am so alone up here in Minnesota! Cant wait to move to California. Theres so many people there even if you are a person who collects those plastic clings tht come on the screen of electronics, glass, etc... you can find a group to steel clings with!

Fake Receipts! Or just buy cheap parts or like a self wound motor. That counts like $0

Well, I was just trying to help a little for those who didn't know limitations put on 1/28 scale events.

I think the idea is great. Maybe I'll even get one.

set up a track, and once i get my car fixed (my real car) you and me can set up a tournament me and my GF both have Xmod cars, and i think a minnesota tournament would be cool to have =D. I think there should be one in every state, and people can buy and sell cars/parts while they are there too!

i think they should...Look at it this way you race monster trucks, buggies, truggies and on road u can use any brand. They have to change the rules because now there are more 1/24 brands then kyosho now.

All 1/24 - 1/28 cars are allowed from every prominent manufacturer. For stock class, since its stock class, you cannot exchange PCB boards between brands. You can upgrade FETs and install tight turns etc.

My post included

Mini-Zs - all CAR types
Xmods - all CAR types, your choice AWD or FWD
Iwavers - all CAR types

Firelaps are also allowed and so are nanoracers.

Like I said, the restrictions only apply to stock class, for mod class you can run whatever you want or build or anything as long as its between 1/24 to 1/28.

How are these rules restrictive?

that is something to take up with the organizers , im sure if enough people turned up with xmods they would start heats for them most clubs stick to one chassis type unless demand is there for others
this goes for all scales 1/64 to 1/5

True, my thoughts were that if they were affiliated with Mini-Zracer.com then I could probably speak with them about it and if they are affiliated with hfay then they must allow all types of cars.

Soudns like it might be fun. Only thing is I dont have a track. Maybe once I get a job, and buy a track/ make a track in the summertime. My local park has plenty of space for a track to setup. Maybe post fliers around town.
