We have not been saying much until now, and I am proud to let you know that there is indeed a new line coming out this year, anywhere from September to the winter holiday time. The new line will include an updated version of the Evolution chassis, and will feature models from companies such as GM, Ford, Nissan, and Toyota, old and new. As for the upgrades being taken out of circulation, the updated version of the Evolution chassis will need certain upgrades to be different, such as the way gears are set up. a diffrent supra body kit ,thats all we need! a big ricer spolier would be nice with a hole new set of bumprs, side skirts and hoods and mabye they (radio shack) would make all the new cars with roof scoops like on the mustang that are interchangeable

I can't believe we haven't seen any leaked pictures yet or teaser morsels to feed the Xmods hype machine. (It needs food desperately!!)

After visiting my local Shack yesterday, I asked to see the memo stating the release would be in September. Sure enough there it was on their pc. No pic's or other info. Just the same stuff thats already been posted here. Guess we've still got a few weeks...

Just total speculation...well, because there's nothing more to talk on this subject yet, but...

I'm a bit concerned about the quality we'll see in this initial batch of Xmods if they're released in September. The reason I say this is what was posted by Terbo stating,

"The Mgr claimed that they will be available in 2 weeks, and that the supply is very limited during the first delivery run to each store!

If I remember correctly, when the latest IWaver 02m chassis came-out last year, there were a only a few initial releases that were not officially authorized to be sold. A spokesperson for IWaver wrote this regarding their new release:

that is the prototype version of 02M. That was never intended for the market, that version has many issue that we have solved with 02M.
That is why Marc never noticed any issue with his 02M, since it's basically a different chassis. The sloppy steering has been fix due to better electronics and true off the shelf servo that comes stock with the set. Also the straight line issue has also been fix since we have implemented spring recenter.

I would say that it is unfair to judge 02M by the older prototype version, since it's a totally different chassis. That we have put many thought into it.

With no leaked pics and limited info from Radioshack, I'm afraid these cars are still in China rolling-off the production-line. Maybe, a few crates are on the boats heading this way. I seriously doubt Radioshack has anymore information to tell us because they don't know anything either.

I hope we're not the paying customers receiving the prototypes. And after we deplete the stores of the initial batch in September/October, the higher-quality final models arrive with the bugs worked-out just in time for Christmas.

So, all of that said to say this... SAVE YOUR RECEIPTS in case the first deliveries are faulty.

Will I buy the 1st new Xmod I see in the store? YES, duh, why wouldn't I?

I've called every rs in my phonebook (7 radioshacks). most said they know squat, one said he expectes them by the end of the mounth,one said end of october, the other call back at the end of the mounth. I say end of october. why? if u remember thats when the 7th gen concoles came out (wii,xbox 360,PS3)the same marketing plan. release a little info, then nothing ,then,when nobody can stand it anymore,they release them,and look at that ,its christmas time.but if u release them 2 weeks before thanksgiving the hardcore xmodders get them then say how awsome they are then nobody wants to save up with christmas right around the corner ,so they wait to get stuff .just my two cents!
