he is a carpenter. the book is blueprints. he trips on some bricks (which fall off), falls off a 2nd story iron girder and gets hit by a vw bug (that ends up on top).

he was fixing a brick bridge was on break and wqas reading his book when the VW bug drove over the bridge and it all colapsed on him

It was a manual of some sorts for the car, he was paying attention to that while driving the Bug and crashed into the brick wall?

the bricks ARE HOLDING THE DEAD (caps lock...) bug on a hill, he is distracted with the manual trying to fix it when it comes off the bricks and rolls over him?

he was reading the manual and walking then tripped on the bricks and hit his head on the car/bug...we'll see him next fall
