The 1:24 is about the size of an xmod. The 1:48 are about the size of a zipzap. I am looking for the one about the size of a zipzap.

i know the 1:24 one is. you can get them at toysrus for $12 and for $10 u can get a upgrade pack that is either a street pack or a offroad pack.the hummer is in a offroad pack that has offroad tires, torque motor and more. the f-150 is in a street pack that has street tires, 30k motor, and suspension. i have one and they are not bad. i would recomend it tho since its cheap. for $25 u can get a tricked out SSMT. they are standard AWD. they arent that fast but if u get a upgrade pack it goes faster. me and mustanglover went to toysrus and i got one then he wanted one. they are pretty fun out of the box still. so for $12 i would deffinently get one. hope this helps

If you wanted more articulation from the rear wheels you have to cut the clips off that stops it from swivelling too high - you might also have to cut the edges off from the extention piece also. After you do that you should be able to get more articulation to climb over stuff alittle better.

You need to just start reading posts on here and some of the r/c crawler websites. After a few hours or days of research, you won't have to ask any questions. We've been talking about crawlers for a LOOOONG time now, and there is a thread or tutorial about everything.

If you want a decent off road xmod, you better be handy with a dremel or other cutting and shaping tools. You have to make some custom parts to get what you want.

And the ssmt requires even more custom work than an xmod, so don't mess with them until you have mastered the xmod. Most ssmt crawlers are torn apart for the electronics and the axles. The rest is thrown out and these parts are modded to fit in plastic truck models...

if you can only get a stage 2, get it, then use the orange gears, it works fine for my crawler, but soon im getting a 180.

I bought a Helimax motor for a rc copter, model HMXE8004 it is a little longer than the Stage two. I just put it on my monster truck F150 and it has some serious power
