Default SOLDER; Best brand, type?

Hi, my dad's getting me a solder iron and solder so i was wondering what is the best solder to use when dealing with xmods? I'm a n00b here so don't judge me!! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

OK I would say lead-free solder with Tin already in it oh and it also needs to be rosin-core rather than acid-core because you can't use acid-core on electronics.

Dont know much about brands but providing you go with what I said above you should be fine.

try to find a small gauge silver solder. silver is the most conductive material on the planet and its made for electronics, thats your best bet!

If you like, it would be handy if you were to find one for me, preferably on ebay. Thanks!

go to your local rs/ source and pick some up and save yourself some time and money, dont buy that stuff online, you can get it pretty much at any place that sells tools, hardware, etc.
