Making a Xmod comeback
Hey Everyone!
It has been wayyyyy too long. years.. Life got so busy and complicated. Sold my R/C's Lost my Best friend, volunteer construction for a few years, moved out, Started a window cleaning business, recently got married and last week.... I Bought back into my favorite hobby!! I horribly regret selling all my xmods, especially my rally subaru.. But I bought a brand new F-150 evo truck off ebay last week and Im currently waiting for its arrival! I cant wait. Hows everyone else's xmoding been going? where can we find upgrades anymore? atomicmods kinda retired the better part of their xmod merc.

My Xmodding's going good, I just don't have enough time to play with them as much as I want to. I have most of mine converted to the 2015 Xmod's lithium battery kit and they are great. Ton's of power! But all they really do right now is sit there on my shelf starting at me. All like 12 of them.

this is the first time I have seen a miniz board on an xmod chassis! is it a difficult mod? im sure the motor wires, and battery wires arent an issue, but how does the servo/ steering wires match up?

See the projects i have on that section.
http://www.xmodsource.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=57 There is a "million dollar" photo in each of them for those miniz board swaps. It will work like a miniz in the eletrics department! |

Everything is better, almost perfect. You should get a miniz if you like 1/28 scales.... Examples...for miniz's -range is way far extended, on ASF (2.4ghz) or the new **** (FHSS) -They are made for competition mainly! Solo drivers are accepted as well! -Steering is just like any real RC with servos...(perfect) no glitches! and so on.... Xmods are toy grade with upgrade possibilitys to hobby grade with DIY. Miniz's are hobby grade from ground up and various versions.... -2wd -4wd -overland (jeeps) 2wd -Monster truck 2wd -Buggy 4x4 -F1 2wd A video from Spain to show how are competitions
From France
Las Vegas
Some wild cows, drift junkies (wonderfull skills)
This is a serious world were people waste serious money, on 1/28 scale rc's! lol
-Very good video about drifting miniz's! Last edited by targetingxmod; 09-30-2015 at 06:21 AM.. |

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Xmods-Lithiu...item58ce7b4c8f And modify them for the original xmods,(not the newer ones they are made for). I bought them while radioshack was still selling them and had them discounted for $10. It turned my stock f150 into my fastest xmod. Amazing results. Once you crack open that grey battery pack which comes with the kit, there are two divided batteries in there that you can remove and attach to you xmods wherever you want. You will have to change the plug on the Xmods board to work with the new batteries, though, but the new plug comes with the kit(there is a mal and female plug inside of the grey battery tray and you just transfer that female plug over to the xmods board. Relatively simple and completely worth it for $10. Not sure about the $35. |
