Default - Tamiya TA-05 Ver.II -

Few years back, I had a Tamiya TA-04 Pro as a gift, knew nothing about it, and I wasn't into 1/10 at that time, so I sold it on eBay for dirty cheap, regret selling it. Recently I got into the 1/10 scene, starting off with an Axial SCX10, and this Tamiya TA-05 Ver.II will be my second 1/10 build.

I'm still in the process of building this kit, and will update this thread when I get more work done.

Bag A:

Part 1 - Motor mount.

This step will require to use parts from the K parts tree.

Part 2 - Attaching motor mount and suspension arm mounts.

This step will require to use parts from the M parts tree.

Part 3 - Ball differentials.

This step will require to use parts from the S parts tree.

Part 4 - Rear gearbox.

This step will require to use parts from the A parts tree.

Part 5 - Front gearbox.

This step will require to use parts from both A and N parts tree.

Part 6 - Attaching gearboxes.

This step will require to use parts from the K parts tree.

Update: The new body is here! Tamiya Datsun 240z.

The TA-05 front end aren't design to run any negative camber, so I trimmed up the H carriers to clear the lower suspension arms. Also shorten all the upper suspension linkages.

Thanks!

Update: Got my electronics in few days ago.

Castle Creations Mamba Max Pro with 7700KV motor.

The ESC was a bit too big for the chassis, so I had to mount it up side way and taped the switch right above the ESC for easy access.

Receiver is an Airtronics FHSS-2 3 channel.

Servo is a Traxxas 2075 with new servo gears.

It's power by the same Gens Ace 3S Li-Po that I used on my SCX10.

Here a quick video of it in action.

i love it so far, but a bit of caution
running 3s with the 7700 is gonna give you very high temps, which is unnecessary. if you can, tone it down to 2s or something between the 4000-5000kv range

Thanks for the tips, I do notice a very high temps from both the motor and ESC, will look into picking up a 2S in the future.
