you can put it that way
and for today's update... a step-by-step iguide to installing the axial spur gear cover
i didn't need the part.. but i had $9 ebay bucks laying around.. and i had nothing to spend it on
i installed it with no instructions, just trial and error
took pix for about every single step.. took about 110 in total.. and im only using 27 of em aaaaaaaaannnnndddddddddd lets start

step 1: remove your transmission from the scx10(or ax10)

step 2: remove the spring+washer+nut from the slipper assembly, which control the slipper clutch

step 3: (this is a step that is NOT needed, but i did it on accident) remove the spur gear

step 4: remove the slipper assembly

step 5: unscrew the 3 screws shown ONLY to the point where the motor mount falls off

step 6: remove the 3 spacers(mine are plastic, yours might be metal or plastic) covering the rest of the screws

step 7: remove this plastic spacer

step 8: slide the back plate of the spur gear cover on, this piece replaces the 3 spacers and the plastic spacer removed in steps 6 and 7.

step 9: install the motor mount assembly

step 10: slide the slipper assembly back on

step 11: install the spur gear (this is when i realized that you never had to remove the spur gear lol)

step 12: install the spring+washer+nut which control the slipper clutch

step 13: get 3(three) 2.6x10 flathead screws, which are provided in both the rtr versions and kit versions as extra screws

step 14: twist that allen wrench(or hex driver)

step 15: install the transmission onto your scx10(or ax10)

step 16: you're done

i have yet to test drive it, but there is a piece that was un-used

not sure where it goes, but i guess i isnt meant for anything? idk, if you know, please let me know

and, i havnt finished my previous update yet.. due to a horribly stripped set screw

The wheel hexes are stripped? Just put the hex in a vice and hammer the shaft out

the set screw which holds the wheel hex in place is stripped, if i drill it out, the wheel hex will pull right off.

That extra piece that was left out from the transmission cover is for the dig mod.
