Missing pad on evo board

I got an extra evo board that has a missing pad on the input fet section. I was look online and seen I could use copper to repair it. I know alum foil is a good eletric conductor so it got me wondering. could i use alum. foil to replace that missing pad?

I tried it and it didnt work . But it was worth the try. I will use it for spare parts..
