I'm looking at buying my first mini-z. I've found one its a ready-to-race, but I can't find out anything else about it. Can anyone help me out with this? Are the ready-to-race ones any good? The price on it is $75.

ok after digging a good bit more I found a site saying that ready-to-race just means that it should come with chassis, body, controller, etc.... is that correct? if so, are there anyways I could look at one and tell which model it is. thanks for any help

ok got a good lok at a bad picture of it and on the chassis sticker all I can make out on it is "perfex"

what model is it?

Mr01-dont bother
Mr015-not the best race platform
Mr02-good entry racer for the money

For the price listed im guessing AM but thats not necessarily a bad thing...you'll find that AM cars are responsive but not as sharp as ASF models

Find out which model and have at it.

The only thing the box says on it is "Mini-z racer" there's a glare on the chassis sticker in the picture so I can't read anything off of it.

can you see the body? if you can make out what kind of body it is theres a pretty high chance you can tell what chassis it is. or even the color of the chassis

the chassis is all black the body is a Porsche 911 GT3 and the part number on it is 30003R-B. from what I'm seeing of other ones on ebay by the transmitter that's with it its a mr-01... I know that's probably not the best thing to go by but its what I could come up with...

That's quite an old mini z chassis, but it should still perform better than an xmod (not including the Awd in the xmod of course)

if its the KT-5 transmitter thats the standard TX for all AM mini-z sounds to me its a MR-01 or MA-010 (if its a MA-010 you got a great deal, but i dont think the MA-010 came with a GT3) or maybe but probaby not an iwaver. i'll do some searches on the part number and see what i can find.

edit
ok, from what i found i can almost confirm its a MR-01 but i could be wrong, i found it sold out on alot of shops but couldnt find any info besides the body is red lol...

If you want an affordable one that's easy to use, try the Mr-02. Its sold at a pretty decent price on ebay
