There is:
-GEN1 -Evolution (Completely new chassis from the GEN1) -Street (same as Evo but fixed crystal and small insignificant alterations) Here is some stuff for you to read thru... http://www.atomicmods.com/Categories...Evolution.aspx just keep in mind the Evo and Street are the same car the Street just has a fixed crystal in the car and remote but atomicmods sells an adapter to make the crystals interchangable, then it is an Evo basically.. here is the adapter http://www.atomicmods.com/Products/X...ge__14614.aspx It's only the GEN1 that is completely different.

they dont sell evo's or gen 1's any more. The only thing radioshack sells is the street series now, which looks like wont even be available for much longer since they are discontinued now. so soon as the stores are out, thats it!

Because xmods are basically cheap RC's. If you want good turn radius and high performance then you need to buy a Mini-z. Iwaver's are cheap and have better performance then an xmod.

the evos and streets are identical except for the fixed crystal and rear knuckle lower arm design (street uses an all-the-way single pin while the evo uses two screws...the street's design is much more durable)

if your the sort that wants to add a few extras get an evo, id say they are easier to do yourself if your a novice in electronics but if you use a soldering iron like a light saber then try and pick up a gen 1, gen 1s are are a little more fragile to work on as there are more boards all wired together where as evos and streets have everything on 1 board and are a little easier to work on, well thats my opinion and others may disagree.
Lithium batteries are a must as they will make your xmod run a lot faster, i did my own litium upgrade, in fact ive done a few but if your not confident with electronics then get someone else to do it, there are tutorials out there, thats how i learnt, ive heard good things about triple xmodder so id recommend him. |

well see my problem is that with my evo the turning sometimes gets jamed. and by jamed i mean it will not turn one way and will turn parcial in the other, and it just sucks fixing that little problem because i usually have to push and i get afraid i will end up braking it. i don't have any problem with my street though, it works perfectly except the uninerchangeble crystal. and a mini-z,what is up with that thing isn't it like and inch long. correct me if i am wrong but that seems way unpro. i mean i know what pro is. i have a rc 1/10 scale car. what makes the wheels turn in the evo? the same as a street right? because i took apart my evo and could it be that the motor for the steering be going shot, or something else. please help? oh and i finally decided and bought a street. if you didn't get that from what i just told you.
so for a fact xmod i done making any more cars. poof! over!? so what happens to all those cars that people have. if they brake or find out about a upgrade? they just can't go to radio shack and buy anything. no awd? no stage2 motor? no nothing? |

They have world cups like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8f_PYmOgxVU and tons of followers. Just because its smaller doesn't mean it takes less skill or is less respectable. In fact there are tons of official Mini-Z races all the time and all over the world. The competition is ridiculous. Furthermore they are just around the same size as Xmods. Also, your post jumps around a lot and has really bad grammar so its kind of confusing. Last edited by Action B; 01-31-2010 at 12:18 AM.. |

-EVO and STREET are the same car, the Street was just dumbed down a bit probably to reduce the cost of manufacturing, or it's a new manufacturer building them. Whatever.... still basically the same car, and the EVO is the better of the 2 if you had to go one way. -GEN1's are COMPLETELY different. -Xmods, in general... are not consistent and you will get some that don't run great... that's just tough luck. Again they are cheap RC's. -Mini-Z is the top of the line for this scale (1:24-1:28) unless your talking short run chassis, like an MRCG or Serpent etc. But the Mini-Z MR02 is the most widely raced mini car. -Here is a Mini-Z MR02 in a competition set-up. NOTICE the PRICE. and this car is the SAME size as an Xmod. http://www.atomicmods.com/Products/M...02__14798.aspx -CC, you need to spend a couple weeks just reading through all the sections of the forum and get yourself familiar with whats what.
