I haven't tried Shift yet, but if you want some challenge pick up GT4 and start drifting. It's a real kick in the ***, but fun. Glad to hear NFS is actually making you DRIVE the car again. You try the drifting in the later games and compare it to UG1 and 2 and it just makes you ask, WTF where they on?

In Shift, I think they overdid the motion simulation, meaning how much the screen bounces around. Seemed worse in the BMW and got old pretty quick. Sweet game though.

My wife rented it last week, she is a big fan of the NFS arcade games, Most Wanted, Undercover, etc.... the last simulation one sucked and she refused to play it but this one she wanted to give a try.... took almost 4 days for me to get to play it and now I'm tearing it up

However I can't decide if I love it or loathe it.... the graphics are sweet, so are the car choices and upgrade options but trying to get the right handling mode is a nightmare the computer always seems to be doing to much, if your on the lower settings then you can't outbreak anyone because the computer controlled breaking kicks in way to early.

I do like the fact that if your in a big accident your guy gets stunned and takes a few seconds to recover before you can drive off but I don't like how some of the supercars drive, for example the Bugatti Veyron invitational race or the Lambo Gali vs. Lambo Murch races the cars are just terrible but if I do the SRT10 vs. GT race its really nice and fun to compete in.

I'll keep playing because I still have to fully complete tier 3 and haven't even start 4 yet, I am enjoying it but we shall see what my final thoughts on it are....

Oh and just for fun I'm currently rocking a works converted Escort RS Cosworth and an Evo IX Stage 2. The Cossie beats most things.....

Lol I did that on the Lambo invitational because I couldn't get either car round the track It works but I'm trying to do as much as I can by myself with minimal computer assistance

I use keyboard steer. It's a bit sensitive for me, but I got used to it.
