Default Mini-Z AWD limited Edition Question

Hey guy, My b-day is coming up in about 2 months and I was lookin through AtomicMods and found the Limited Edition Mini-Z AWD.

http://www.atomicmods.com/Products/K...on__14956.aspx

I was reading about what comes with it, and saw that it came w.o a fr clip, then i remembered its not the same fr clip for all of them. so i found the r32 body which i likes and read and ti said nothing about a fr clip. I tried to search here but found nothing on this. went through atomic's Q & A's and found nothing.. googled and found nothing. Im sure one of you guys has this. Can you help me out on the details and if it comes with a fr clip.. and when it says "assembly required, is it like just screwing in the stuff or actual solder stuff on and ect...
BTW: never had a Mini-Z before...

First, you do know that that Limited Edition does NOT come with an ESC and you will need to purchase the ESC compatible with the MA010 separately for an extra $80-100 along with a transmitter which could also run you anywhere from $30-100? The chassis does not come with the needed ESC, servo or transmitter. So, already, from AtomicMods, you're looking at close to $400 depending on what you go with ESC and transmitter wise. Just making sure before you really do hunker down and purchase anything you are aware of what it does come with.

What you linked to requires full assembly of the chassis but it does include, from what I have heard, decent instructions. Also, if you have any questions, any one of the members here who own an MA010 would be glad to help you with any questions you do have. As well, if any of us who do have an MA010 are not capable of answering your question we would at least be able to point you in the correct direction.

An Autoscale body from Kyosho will come with the needed front and side clips for mounting.

Cheers,
Kyle.

If your looking at a R32 in a clear case, it comes with a dummy chassis. Which has a front, side clips also wheels.

It looks to be only screwing stuff in. But you'll need to buy a ESC seperately. 2.4ghz or AM boards and install it.

Edit, you guys beat me to it.

I would say you're going to have a tough time fitting those ESCs onto a MiniZ.. Depending on the shell there is not a lot of room between the top of the ESC cover plate to the body shells roof. The stock MRS4 ESC is gigantic height wise compared to the few mm thin MiniZ ESC... Plus, the MRS4 ESC is just that: an ESC. You'll also need to somehow find room to cram a receiver into there.

im not talkin about the engine. im talkin about the old 1/10 scale truck. But seeing that i will need to spend over $200 on just electronics i need... im probably going to buy a RTR r32 set. and buy the the engine/bearings seperatly.

That 10th anniversary set you will need a board and a control. Its cool that that set comes with a few options.

They also have a 2.4GHZ awd car out and their going to be bringing more out. There's a the new Endless Evo X, the Endurance GTR ,titanium gray GTR, and the new STi is suppose to come out too.

if you want to get started in mini-z go to relflexracing.com

and they have rtr kits and start up packages and is a very good website and this is how i got started in the z's

frist pick your rtr kit
http://www.reflexracing.net/products.asp?cat=27

than you pick your ready set up package (the frsit one is just fine for your frist mini-z)
http://www.reflexracing.net/products.asp?cat=21

Personally, I wouldn't even look into purchasing a Mini-Z.
Since they are so expensive and you probably want a R/C, I would highly recommend a larger scale car. ie: 1/18 or 1/10.

I do free Mini-Z FET service. PM me if you need any help. I can do Xmods but I usually dont.

Miniz are fairly cheap to be competitive in comparison to other hobby grade rc scales

Which are even more expensive and since when are Zs not R/C?

For a first Z, unless you have plenty of smooth floors and someone to race with, I'd get MA10 indeed. You can take it outside safely, can run on low carpets, cam drift if you're bored, etc etc etc.
