bit nervous :S
i know it sounds compleatly stupid (title) but i built my thunder tiger ts4n from scratch in the summer of last year and i started it and it went full throttle for some reason (have linkage setup right i think) and it was like a really bad scream, then just cut off? Its made me abit weird with them now. this is my first nitro vechicle.

invest in a fail safe for it. its a good thing for any nitro. you can check if your throttle is working ok by looking inside throttle intake port of the carb and moving your throttle from close to open. if its backwards you can adjust accordingly.
as for going full throttle and dieing it could be something as simple as carb out of adjustment.

Buy a nice failsafe to ensure no runaways but it could be you do not have a proper tune also. If it won't idle or stalls under a certain speed then it needs to be tuned. Tuning for the most part is easy, can be annoying but its easy.
