Project Nitro TC3 DriftR
Well, had this as a Roller for sale sometime ago with no luck at all so....decided not to sell it and make use of it. Got the most part of it put together adding stiffer springs and harder tires for drifting. All it needs now i think is the Th/Br servo and a new Body which im thinking of using the popular AE86 Trueno to suit it. I changed the starter on it to a bump-start instead of the pullstart. You can see the opening where the string came from now sealed off from debris from entering into the crank-bushing. |

Why did you decide to go with bump start rather than pull start? I've always found bump to be a PITA.
Nice project.

ive never actually used a bumpstart but seeing as this chassis had the cutout for the flywheel im using it that way cuz the PS string broke on me.

wouldnt know if BS is better or not really?
but im not about to buy a PS at this time... This is just one of those projects i decided on building cuz i had the majority of the parts kicking around on hand. my plans right now are for Savy II which i intend on using as a lender to a friend/brother or whoever tags along with me when i hit the track this spring. just a 2nd truck to beat on!! |
