Default Motor burnout

I have a PN Racing s01, I'm using a lipo kit, is it possible to fry the motor before frying the electronics? My motor doesn't work now unless i give it throttle while assisting it to move forward but even then, it doesn't go like it did... it was really hot when the problem occured... any ideas guys? i already know I'm gonna need a new motor, unless there's a way to rebuild it :P

You have most likely overheated the motor which causes the insulation on the wire used to wrap the armature to melt causing the armature to short out. You could also check your commutator and brushes to see if maybe you got lucky and just burned a brush in which case the comm will probably need to be cleaned up. Sounds like a shorted armature though.

Yes, the motor will burnup. When using Lipo, you can't run very long before the motor heats up. You got to keep an eye on that.

comm drops will help reduce the chance of this happening again.
open the can and pull the brushes off gently.
post a pic here so we can help you out.
