Seriously, I had a HARD time reading your posts. Everything I bolded is what you have mis-typed or needs a capital. My posts are by far not perfect, but I do good enough so people can understand and reply to me. You even spelt "Christmas" wrong Now, we need pictures of your Mustang, we don't care if it's stock or not. Gives us something to look at. Threads like these, ARE USELESS WITHOUT PICUTRES!! |

RS upgrades are not competitive. so unless you have magical powers. dont plan on that....
and x2 on proof reading your post. i miss spell a lot of words in mine... but atleast they are easy to read and use proper grammer. Grammer is what we care about more. |

notice he said no liths...
and you don't need steering mods on an evo to make it competitive, just a LOT of tuning and adjusting until it handles right. i think you should really go with rwd for a track racr because it allows longer runtime, more efficiency, less friction, less wear, sharper steering, different tires in front and rear to tune traction, etc. and you'll have to GET RID of the stock mustang wheels and tires. then get better wheels. balanced concentric wheel and the right compound of tire can make or break your race.

if you want a "competetive" Xmod, in my opinion the bare minimum would be:
1: metal bearings 2:GPM knuckles 3:steering/suspension kit 4:Xpro chassis (my secret santa got me one, it's nice) 5:lithium ions this still wouldn't help the fact that the Xmods receiver and steering servo isn't up to par. you can run any motor you want, without liths it's useless. an S1 motor with lithi-ions will outperform the best fet safe motor you can find on alkalines. |

theres way better motors than a stage 2...
and the suspension tuning upgrade has NOTHING to do with your steering. it has to do with your ride height. and it takes more than just speed to make them competitive. so neo mags doesnt really help either. its the handling that makes them competitive. you can have the fastest car on the straights u want. but if you cant keep it going in a straight line or make it around a corner with out hitting a wall. your not going to win anything. |

i disagree. as far as FET safe motors, there's nothing that's way better than an S2. i have a speedy05, speedy07bb, and speedyawdII sitting here and while they do perform marginally better than an S2, i'd take the money i was going to put towards a new motor and get a lith upgrade, you'd see much, much better results not to mention a little weight savings.
