XXX Ford GT Lexan
***CHECK OUT MY GARAGE THREAD. UPDATED OFTEN WITH NEW CARS AND PARTS
***http://www.xmodsource.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14967 This is the Ford GT Lexan body that I make. This (just like the Red Stingray) was just painted one color because I am designing the TRI-X chassis and body mounts for the Lexan. So I will have the completed Ford GT soon with (I PROMISE) a nice paint job with full decals as soon as I finish the mounts. So heres the preview. ***CHECK OUT MY GARAGE THREAD. Hey thanks alot. Im glad you are impressed. My MAIN area of modding is Lexan bodies and Chassis mods (ie CF) etc. I hope this area is welcomed and found to be a desirable area of modification. I also do alot of model bodies that I mount to the xmods like everyone else, but I haven't posted them up yet except for the GTO Drift. (I wanna spread them out so everyone will have some new cars to look at later rather then throwing them all on here at one time.) Thanks again. I also am very impressed with alot of peoples work on here. |

You should enter this in the COTM!
And a question, You said about V2 board. like the V2 from am? The one that you solder all the wires too? Does that just allow you too run max voltage the motor can take, and or does it also ' upgrade ' the fets, just as a second board? |

I will be entering this or the stingray Lexan Xmod in the COTM however it will be FULL GPM, V2 board, LiPo, 18g wet noodle, Speedy 05 or 07 motor, CF chassis, CF Lexan Body mount system w/ Foam bumper and of course the custom Lexan body. well, technically speaking, the v2 is bulky, and less durable and tolerant than the spider v4.
v2's are mainly for the xmods that are trying to go for 100% topspeed. the spider is just better if you're gonna race. fet-stacking is even better for racing, because it's all about weight reduction

Your right about that. I use Nimah for racing actually (very good ones) But I don't race alot. It's more about control. Most of what I make I make as drag cars, top speed top speed top speed. I really like the V2 though compared to fet stacking, and have never used the spider. Maybe Ill try one if someone wants to trade later on. |

that usually happens from a short when I solder touché another solder. I have 3 V2 chips and 1 shorted from bad soldering but no problems with the other 2. I have had them for 2 yes or so. Also AMs replaced my burnt one and showed me a different spot on the board to solder to that is easier.
