![]() im tearing apart an xmod circuit bored for my new project (will post it up as soon as possible) but while i was tearing this apart i cut the servo wires there are the black and white ones and there are 3 other ones orange black and white do i really need those

![]() The 3 other wires go to the POT,it makes the servo turn left or right,the white and black is for the - and + battery parts..

If ur gonna put an hobby grade servo on the evo board, You can just get Some other wires for it. no need of the stock xmods wire. And btw when u do hobby grade servo, U gotta remove the servo esc. and connect each pot and motor wire respectively on the board itself. |

![]() You need all of the wires to be connected to the electronics board if you want any sort of response from your steering system. Even when upgrading to a hobby grade servo, those three POT wires need to be attached to the POT terminals on the electronics board. Also, the positive and negative motor wires have to be connected to the servo motor's positive and negative terminals on the electronics board; otherwise nothing will turn or be powered in the correct direction.
I believe this is what you were getting at?
