Nitro or Electric.....
Hey i just need some opinions. I can get a AWD street Nitro car for 150$ And he can add in some rims, Bodys, Another motor and something but im not sure what it was. But its capeable of 65MPH+..........
My other one is a brand new Traxxas 4-tec, and possibly upgradeing it to brushless.......But that will run me 332 bucks for all of it.....But the con of this is I kinda sorta hate electric at the moment.. Anyone who has experiance on the nitro street cars please inform me......My bday is next week [ the 18th ] so just give a shout....thanks

Well they arent that much faster with the brushless motor with the 4tec i can get it to go 70mph++ but i would have to get a 9 volt batter or 12 volt....w/e it is and thats another 100 bucks at least...with the gas ill just but better hoses in and do a lil more mods.....

i am really good with both... i race both...
- you have to know that the nitro car is not 150 it keeps adding up and up and up....thats y i dont race my gas one to much - the electric is garanted to run and will run for a long time..till ur old and u can give it 2 ur son...the electric is also more fun...

Okay, wow... No... Just, no...
The only reason why you think that is because you see it says 60+ MPH on the box... You can make electrics MUCH MUCH faster, at the same time, while spending MUCH MUCH less... Nitro if you have money (its NOT cheap), electric if you're on a budget |

hands down.....ELECTRIC is faster!
slap on a brushless and watch it blast past a Nitro! thing is.....youll be charging alot more then youll be driving, this is where Nitro is the best......drive it in....fill it up......and vrooom! just minor tuning every 5 minutes with the turn of a screw, no biggie! just takes time to learn a nitro...thats all. |

I wouldn't say that is entirely correct either. The VXL Rustler says 70+ Mph on the box too but good luck hitting those speeds without dropping a ton of cash on good lipo batteries and a charger/balancer. It's definitely possible to make an electric car faster than nitro, but usually requires more money upfront but can be cheaper in the long run.

no different than the Jato claims of high speeds...ahaha!!
with a 2WD truggy...it would never achieve the speeds it claims. DONT go by claims of speed!!!! go by options included, hop up parts , good radio, etc... |

I would say nitro all the way. They don't slow down like electric when the gas starts running down. My Nitro Stampede never needs tuning. Plus gas comes in quarts and gallons. The vehicle's tank is small and lasts about 30 minutes for me. Plus the noise they make, you don't get that in Electric. Sure you could make the electric one BL, but when you have Nitro, you almost never want to go back(unless you have a micro DT) Tuning and break in isn't as hard as most people say, or at least for me. And most maintenance is after you run it and it only takes about 5 minutes.
