How to paint water drops on your RC car shell

Ever seen a RC shell where it looks like it had water beads on it but it was actually the paint scheme? And it looked real? Its actually very easy to do and it uses real water.

By the way, if you try this then please try it on a piece of spare lexan before using. I have used this with pactra and it didn’t work. However, it works great on spaz stix paint.

1) get a spray bottle and fill it with water.
2) lay the body so that it is flat. If you are doing multiple sides then do it stages where each stage gets 3 coats and is laying flat.
3) spray the water on the lexan to the way that you want it. If you want a lot of little bubbles then spray finely. If you want bigger then have more of a stream.
4) spray the spaz stix paint on thickly. Don’t bump it. Let the paint dry for 30 minutes at a time before a new coat. Add a minimum of 3 coats, You are encapsulating the water with the paint. You want the paint to harden around the water so that it will hold it when moved.
5) apply the backer blacker to the paint.
6) apply a thick over coat to the paint. I use enamel testors for model cars. This will help protect the paint and still have the water effect if the water bubble is popped.
7) let it dry fully. I use the entire can and will let a body sit for several days.

I saw the same thing but on a different IRC I think or RCU by a different person. It's a great idea though.
