You are correct RedSXmodder. The stock one, 1792fet on gen1 can handle about 2amps of current, while the 4562 can handle about 7 amps. If you run a high current motor it would fry the stock fet rendering the stack useless. Thats why we remove the stock fets before doing a stack.

This would be true if you were hooking the fets up in series. In parallel the current numbers would be added to each other so a 7 amp stacked onto a 2 amp would yield 9 amps of available current. (I dont know if your numbers are correct but if so this is how it would work).

By stacking them. In series would be if the output of one went into the input of the other (like how the batteries are wired) when you hook base to base, trigger to trigger, and output to output they are in parallel. In other words...each tab on the new fet is soldered to the same tab on the new fet. They are stacked so everything lines up perfectly. And i think you've been here longer than me so your far from noobish

Sweet! Why don't people do that more often. I believe AM doesn't even do that. Thanks Bart, I learned something new today!

You could even easily and better yet cheaper remove the stock fets from another mod and stack them on top of yours. There are plenty of ways to do upgrades without spending loads of money on parts and shipping. (my battery cap is a good example...cost me 1.19)
