The Repair Manual
Well, here it is. I think this will be a better alternative to the old "How-to" section. but there are a few things to keep in mind about this.
This section is not for discussion. if you have a question about a write-up posted here, feel free to ask in the appropriate section elsewhere on the site. if something needs to be added or changed on one of the write-ups, either pm one of the moderators, or just click the 'report post' icon on that post, and put in the description that you think it should be added to the repair/modification manual. If you have a write-up you think should be added to the manual, feel free to post it up here, and, if necessary, one of the mods will move it into the appropriate section. Also remember, these are all user-submitted write-ups. They are, in no way, guaranteed to work for you. the staff of XMS will not be held liable for any damages that may occur, nor will the writer of any given tutorial. We will, however, do our best to make these tutorials as complete, and accurate, as possible. Good luck, and have fun!!!! -The XMS staff

ok here goes
here's a tutorial for all those people who are having problems when they try to reverse things that you will need: dental floss a long piece and some gear grease 1. take off your motor and take off the screws that hold the orange pieces together(the one that holds the gears together) 2. remove the gears and then use dental floss to clean out the gunk that is in the gears 3. re assemble the parts and the gears should not hitch in reverse anymore it will drive smooth |
