B1G's Tamiya TT-01 (now with video)
So I was working on a deal for a TT-01D, the price was amazing but the deal went south and I figured I would see what I could find floating around on eBay unfortunately no D-spec ones where listed but there was this used RTR TT-01 going for a low amount so I figured I would try my luck.... I ended up wining the auction for $65 and after what seems like forever it is finally here:
Comparison shot... 1:10 TT-01 1:18 ProPulse 1:28 92mm Mini-Z chassis 1:28 XMOD Monster size difference... Full time AWD chassis. 23T Tamiya Super Stock Type-RR motor Graphite cross bar Alloy drive shaft Futaba 2 Channel RX 75MHz Duratrax AC/DC Pirhanna charger 2 sets of Venom 3000mah NiMh batteries 2 sets (1 new, 1 very very used) of ABS drift tires. It has a Porsche body on it that is in fairly decent condition and a Mitsubishi body that is trashed. Futaba T2PH 75MHz TX. It was missing the body clips but otherwise is good to go, I used 1:18 ProPulse clips to set it up until I buy some replacement ones. I've heard that the Venom battery packs aren't wonderful so I'd like to upgrade those at some point, ideally I would like to go to liths but as that will require buying a new charger I'll just have to deal for the time being, the second pack may be going into my ProPulse. It has the soft rubber tires installed at the moment but I'd like to move towards drifting, I'm going to go for a few basic upgrades like bearings, graphite chassis, allow, etc, but that will all be as time and money allows. Let me know what you think
