Default Man brings candy cane to a knife fight, wins too

Quote:
(11-28) 14:13 PST Sacramento, CA (AP) --
A man using a candy cane lawn ornament fended off a knife-wielding neighbor who had been attacking holiday guests at a Sacramento home.

Police spokesman Sgt. Norm Leong says the man used the two-foot-tall plastic ornament to subdue the attacker until officers arrived.

He says the 49-year-old suspect became intoxicated, went over to a neighbor's home on Thanksgiving and began waving a kitchen knife at people gathered on the lawn.

He cut several peoples' clothing before one of them decided to fight back.

Police say the man with the knife was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. The guest who took up the candy cane was not arrested because police determined he acted in self-defense.

Lets see, a short knife, or a 2 ft. long candy cane..

The guy with the candy cane had more reach and was safe from the knife unless the guy was a professional knife thrower.

But, congratulations to the guy for standing up and doing the right thing... something that does not happen near enough in todays world.

thats good to hear somthing good happening to the victim for once.

years ago in edmonton, canada.. a dude broke into an old mans house with a knife, proceeded to rob him then left. the old man grabbed his .22 and shot the guy in the leg when he was trying to escape, later the old man was charged with assault with intent to injure.

that seriouisly had me up in flames and half of the city.

anywhooos

Well, that reminds me of that guy in Texas who was witnessing a robbery and was on the phone with the police. Well, the robbers were getting away and he wasn't about to have that since the cops weren't there, so he went outside and shot and killed the two robbers.

I applaud that man for doing that, if it weren't for him they would have gotten away and never got in trouble for it. Sure, they lost their life but oh well they shouldn't have been doing what they were doing anyway. And after much debate I think they actually let the guy go that shot the robbers.

Old NRA man, neighbors being robbed and was tired of the lack luster response of the police to other local break ins.

His shot gun sent a clear message to the criminals out there. Gun Control, it's all in the trigger finger.
