XXX Project: Febuary COTM / Hummer

Well this will be my last COTM until August. It is open class and I'm gonna work with a Hummer. Of course I will do a CF chassis and Lith. You can just make some guesses as to where this build will go. I will be using LOTS of tamiya putty on this one. Here is a teaser photo to get your minds moving. Im sure you'll figure it out.

Let me know if you know anyone with a NIB (or close to NIB) Evo hummer, I don't even need a remote. So I guess it could be used, but I need it to have the full Hummer chassis and spacer and mounts. Let me know, thanks.

If you're going to do a military style Humvee I think you should get the H1 and do a custom mount, that would be killer. You're a pretty crafty guy I don't think it'd be too hard for ya.

I really like the idea and will be watching this.

And since I'm out of the loop or something, where will you be going?

One thing I'm really hoping for is an SUT conversion with sloped rear hatch on it. That would be pretty cool.



I never even thought of doing this for the short time that I had a Hummer. Now I wish I would have kept it.

Are you reading my mind, Also the front window will be modified, look at the army humvee windshield. The doors, pretty much everything. (You nailed it, but it will be desert not green)

sweet. are you going to somehow make real beadlock wheels? if you made real beadlocks, that would be sweet! looks like a good project. its about time someone did a hummer that isn't all crapped up with chrome and "bling" galore...

Well I have most of what I need now, thanks to Blackdragon and a few others who I got some of the stuff from. As soon as I finish the 2 CF chassis that Im doing for a couple members I will get right into the Humvee.

Well if you need anything else let me know so I can see what else I have laying around that I can part with. But trying to finish everything before this month is out and get my new cotm car ready(not the corvette) by next week.

No, but thanks. I looked around everywhere for bodies that I wanted and ended up just buying those new ones.

I am using the pre-painted bodies I ordered for my 2 good mini-Zs. The Pan car body is for my MRCG chassis I got from color0+. I will trade the other MR01s and MR02s for project stuff later on. I do wanna get a Mini-Z AWD pretty bad though.

Not a problem. I guess I will wind up doing something with them eventually, maybe make a hybrid out of a enzo and a corvette. Hmmmmmm, might have to give that some thought.

Do it, that would be interesting. I wanna see what you end up doing with my old corvette, I had big plans for her, but just couldn't no matter how I tried to fit the chassis in her.

You might be surprised but the rear mount is in and I know exactly how I am going to install the front mount. I would have been done last night but I ran out of crazy glue. Don't worry, your baby is in good hands and will be well taken care of. I may get some new rims for it but you will see it before you leave.

Wow this is gonna look good in the end, i can tell! A "modern" hummer with old humvee hop-ups, gonna be like back to the future, kind of, lol
