Default Chassis accents.

So... those lime green accents on the actual running part of the XMod, is absolutely atrocious on what is to be my gorgeous dark blue 2010 Mustang GT... think it would damage anything too terribly if I painted the colored spots?

It shouldn't really, just make sure you ONLY color the green parts such as the A arm thingys for the wheel things (The name has escaped me) Just make sure you don't paint any of the parts that must move or rub against other things (the tie rod for example)

i did a ram project and my 59 impala hardtop. both chassis painted. i used krylon fusion paints. bonds really nice to plastics, and after a week of curing its supposed to be close to indestructable. just make sure you dont paint any internals of gearboxes, pivot rods (a arms rod that goes into chassis) and if you paint it well enough theres no issues after the fact. mine works flawlesslessly.

Why not dye the parts?

Hmmmm, valid point, although I have no idea how I would go about dying them.

i know x.i. sold some plastic dye, i havent checked lately if he still has them, or who else sells them.

i have heard mixed reviews on dyeing parts. some colors against certain pieces look nice, others dont look as good. and you need to be careful how long you leave the parts in the boiling water, could melt it especially the e.p. cover.

Go to Publix/Walmart/Target/Walgreens and pick up Ritz Dye.
Oh, and a cheap pot.
Boil/Heat water, add dye, soak parts.
May take a few tries to get color right, but it works.

I agree the dye should work pretty well. Do you have any pictures of your dark blue GT or did you mean you are about to paint it?
