Default Miami Vice Ferrari Testarossa

Okay I finally decided to post some pictures of my custom Ferrari Testarossa that I have been working on for the past month or so. It is supposed to be a Miami Vice Testarossa remake thats what the model was. The project is almost done all I need to do is put all of the body pieces on permanetly. I put a clear coat on it this last weekend. The only thing though is the chin spoiler the black paint started to wrinkle from the clear coat I might just rebrush paint it and not worry bout the clear on that particular spot or might just leave it. What do you guys think about this project so far? Hoping to sell it on ebay once done.

Looks sweet. Toss some wide axles on the rear, and make a set of custom deep dish wheels to fill the rear.

No it's not metal lol

Yea there was two things that I wasn't real happy when doing this car, one was that the back end was a little to wide and the other was that I couldn't drop the rear end any farther than it is right now. There is a motor clearence problem if I were to go down any farther the motor hits the rear deck lid. I am hoping to completely finish this project this up coming weekend. Could I buy some deep dish rims or do I have to make them? Didn't realize that my other project was in the back ground but if you can figure out what it is will post some pics of it it's about half way done as of right now.

70s Malibu or something, I wanna say like 73-74, I never remember those years.

You can try and dig up the wide wheels from the Scion kit, but good luck finding it.

No not an Eldorado, the only thing about making rims is that I would probably screw up, plus I currently don't have any rims I would chop up. Or even a set of Scion rims for that matter. Unless buy them and send to noturday.

Not quite but you are on the right track not quite that old either few years newer.

Rims from starter kit or is there set of rims already deep dish? Use like what mustanglover mentioned?

there is a body kit for the scion tc which has a nice set of deep dish rims. thats what tex was saying bu they are kinds rare.

or you can use Noturdays tutorial on deep dish rims, just go to noturdays account and look at his threads and look for his deep dish rim thread.

The ones from the BK, maybe xmodsinternational.com or atomicmods.com has them.

Other then that, look for Noturday's tut on how to make custom deep dish wheels.

Gotta be atleast a 73 Malibu or something. That was the 1st of that body style.

You are close but it's not that old (hint 4 years newer), it's not a malibu but I will tell you that it is a chevy product.

xmodsinternational was out of stock on the deep dish rims and atomicmods didn't really have much at all for rims mostly just wheels. Was thinkin' bout it and just might keep deep dish rim idea up to the new owner but I might be getting some rims from my cousin because he's sellin' his stuff and I get first dibs yea Gotta see what he has first though.

SORRY for the double posting but I have an update on what I did today. I am almost completely done withe the project all I have left to do is silicone the rear deck lid on and put the mirror on. I painted and put the taillights and turn signals on the front in place, also siliconed the side panels on, the windshield, and the little cyclops light on the rear deck lid plus put the piece in the center don't know if you would call it quite a hood scoop. Tail lights look cooler in person, pic is a little blury. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I should put the mirror on??? I am only putting one on and don't think just glue or silicone will hold on for very long.

You really need to find a way to get wider wheels on there, that body is way too wide.

I'm really not feeling the whole project, I think it's because it's white. I'm not a fan of white on model cars because it just seems un-finished to me.
