radline 1/24 scale r/c trucks
alright well i was talking on aim with bobtheangryflower from XMW last night and he told me about these radline rcs (no its not redline its radline)
they are really similar to the first gen xmods in various ways but are more hobby grade and are actually pretty cool they have a monster truck a stadium truck and a buggy each of which have different chassis's with the same basic design so i went and bought me one of the monster truck ones today and i'm really impressed, it has a really tight turning radius (1 ft or less) and crawls a lot of stuff my xmods couldnt, pretty high torque low rpm motor and it comes with extra 10 and 12 tooth pinions. there are a lot of things like xmods that you can get for it like bearings and motor upgrades (even one with a ball bearing end bell) and spring upgrades. but theres also an oil filled shock upgrade too bad they didnt have any of the upgrades at the place i bought mine (Target) i wouldve gotten the bearings and shocks the only thing that needs to be modified is the ride height...its too low for a monster truck and not tall enough for my likings now you can scroll down now that you've read all of that heres some pictures

Wow, those are pretty kick *** looking.
Shocks and dogbones are your main limiting factors with travel, find some longer length shocks 1st, Id bet that would give it a better ride height. What did it cost you, and what kit did you get?

50 bucks guys, great investment, cant wait till someone starts making alum parts for it, im hoping to either get the ball bearing morot for it or maybe i'll wire up a 180 motor to it (its designed for it and has and adapter in one of the motor upgrade packages
i already found out that with longer shocks it will stand up taller, but it also need stiffer springs to help it stand back up after it squats also, i havnt put any of the stickers on the body yet because i havnt decided whether i want to paint it first or not and i like the bling

Yea i saw that at target awhile back, looked interesting but i didnt want to spend that much money on something i wasnt too sure about. Looks pretty neat, but i got my ssmt for $15ish(cant remember how much) and the target truck is $50....so lol im gonna stay with my ssmt for now. So what other modifications are you going to do to it other than raising ride height?
Oh and what do the axle shafts look like? Can you upgrade to large hobby grade wheels and tires? Oh and i just found a website for them. Pretty interesting.... http://www.radlinerc.com/ The master line looks pretty nice. Comes with a 180 motor and bearings
