If you are planning on a body kit i think the roush kit looks really good on that body style mustang. My mom has an 01 roush and its basically the same color but its mineral gray.

Ya i think so too except it doesn't have a gt scoop on the hood. But last october the front got pretty damaged and now she is getting the gt hood and it looks alot better. But the roush bodykit is my favorite in the 99-04 model mustang. And hers is a V6 too its only a stage 2.

What a shame...oh well.
I mean it's still a cool car, don't mod it so soon, just drive it how it is, lol. Somethings I noticed that I like(and that you might like): http://www.americanmuscle.com/9904-s...ht-covers.html http://www.americanmuscle.com/9904-s...ht-covers.html http://www.americanmuscle.com/mublbuinle9g1.html |

Uhm... what kind of question is "Can I put a V8 into a car that comes with an optional V8"? Of course you can! Is it worth it for that car? Nope, just go buy a GT and have all the GT options.
But, don't stick GT badges on a V6 car. That's very ricer-ish man. Try procharger, see if they have a supercharger kit for the V6. But in todays sad market, best just keep that V6 happy and fuel efficient. A tuner, exhaust, and intake will give a decent bump in power, but I wouldn't go beyond that for a V6 mustang. Save you pennies and buy a better car later. And don't buy two cars at once... that boat sucks!

hmmm.... welli hope me and my dad cought both save up for a crate engine.
i was looking at the tuners it runs about 500$ for a nice tuner. plus a cat back system and see if we can fit some cherry bombs on them. cold air intake would be 400$. but i think we might spend about 5K on the v6, most of the money will be from my job. or the mustang gt's V8's http://www.gearheadengines.com/CrateEngines or http://www.fordcobraengines.com/302_350_hpLB.htm still need a little more with this crate, but it nice, 350hp crate+tuner+intake+exhaust=nice set-up Last edited by mustanglover; 06-16-2008 at 02:14 PM.. |

Crate engine will cost more then the cost of trading for the GT. Jegs/Summit has 5.0 ford engines starting at like 3-4k. And with new cars it ain't easy to swap.
Though, there are guys who build twin turbo V6 stangs, and those suckers really move. Google up for turbo kits, I have seen those before, if you really want go-power on the V6 But save your cash, keep the stang stock and with good MPG, and then save up for a real fun old car or new car later on in life.
