Default Mods?

Just got my first Xmod last weekend. Got the GTR. These things are awesome and can't believe I haven't heard of them before. I purchased and installed the AWD kit and the Stage II motor kit. I am real happy with the AWD, but probably should have done a little more research before I picked up the RS Stage II motor kit. Anyways, I plan on upgrading parts as soons as I can as was wandering what parts I should upgrade first. What parts break the quickest and what parts deliver the most performance. Obviously I will updgrade the batteries first.

Look into the GPM parts for a stronger chassis.
Get metal bearings they are an absolute must.
Upgraded / replaced electronics.
FET Stacks
Batteries
and finally motors.... there are some get prebuilt motors or look over REDSXmodders thread as he builds some great ones but remember you'll need tougher electronics if you want to run a super hot motor......

I say bearings,GPM knuckles & cvd.Shaved the cvd to fit MA-010 rims there more true & more off set options then the xmods.Take off the rear shock tower pull the pin out and screw it down with 2 small screws.I also realized that some of the new cars front is crooked on the chassis you can tell by the steering plate. If it is you have to shim your front gear box.Don't forget to do the steering upgrade this is how i did mine.

Thanks for the advice. Looks like batteries, bearings, and knucks will be my next mod.

id also have to say upgrade to atomic awd components(front and rear ball diffs, carbon shaft and spur gears)...i wish i woulda bought them first instead of wasting money on the rs awd upgrade!...after about a week, the spur gears stripped causing slippage, and the spider gears in the stock gear diffs stripped out too......but i must say, bearings(must have IMO) gpm alloy uni. swing shafts and knuckles are a must as well (stock dog bones broke after stage2 motor and atomic awd components)

the 1st front diff i got from atomic did have that problem, so i emailed them and they swapped it out for me with a "newer version"...

from my experiences, atomic's front and rear ball diffs are great! so are their carbon drive shafts/composite spur gears...def WAY better than the stock junk...
