Project Slow Showcar

So everyone is trying to get their wives/girlfriends into xmods so I thought I'd take a shot. She always says that its a waste of money and such, as she always sees me browsing ebay in school. Maybe this will spark her interest

I'm building this car and my car simultaneously so progress will be slow. But here are some pics of the work in progress.




She likes the purple but ****it, she wants green somewhere. She loves green but GPM doesn't make green parts :/

get some GPM and have someone or you could powder coat it. that would be super sweet! what kind of green? what plans do you have for it, a body ,?

hehehe, can't decide on the body yet. Might do an iwaver body, but its been done before

do a model body? your girls favorite car? idk what about electronics, batteries? specs?

Well, its going to be slow. Stock xmod elecs, and a stage two motor. Batteries are going to be nimh, suggestions?
This was the original setup, but as I said, I'm thinking of changing the body.

Purple Headlights, White Underglow and Dim taillights.

I was kinda trying to make everything match. The white underglow is really bright, but you can't see it in that picture. Pink headlights won't go with the new chassis and besides, she hates pink. Lights don't flicker anyway

i like the green bodyshell and green stilleto, why does it have to be slow, turn it into a drifter and throw lithium ions in it, there blue, if you get the blue ones.

but you see, he wants his gf to drive it, and since its her first time, he shouldn't give her a car that's capable of tearing itself apart.

I don't have money for a green stellito and I think this will be good enough (blue-purple combo).
And no lipo as XMD said.
