it looks good but turn your soldering iron down or buy a lower watt iron.
when you blister the plastic on batt. cases it means your either too hot and/or holding it for too long.
if your blistering plastic then you can rest assured your melting wire insulation and that's VERY bad.(see how there's about 3/16" of bare wire before the joint?, this should be about 1/16")
you can also blister traces off when soldering a board if your not careful.

start off with a cooler iron until you get used to the "pool".
once you get the hang of "pooling" the solder, you can step up to a hotter iron.

yeah this iron that i used is hella old...haha.

myine at home haha. i have that cold heat one =D

yeah the cold heat is nice but when it comes to things like fets and such, it just wont cut it.

for a test car, you should have it have a few panels with a cheap, simple, custom paintjob and the rest primer, then give it two different pairs of rims, one set chrome the other black, and give the body a minor weathered effect.

i had a cold heat for all of two seconds....then i straight up threw it in the trash.(i ripped it apart and salvaged the 3mm LED though)

i threw it away because even with the weakest solder, all i could get was a spark,then it would pool enough to make me think it was working......

it simply took too long to heat up enough (if at all) and the job that took the CH 3 minutes took 3 seconds with a proper iron.
plus, ever crack a carbon tip?
the tips crack easily and once their cracked they aint worth $%^$.
try finding a CH tip on the fly at any local retailer.....

$15 will buy you a proper(decent) iron from the shack.
might aswell buck up for the proper and save yourself the hassle.

EDIT:
the best iron i've found is BY FAR, butane.
heats up almost insantly,heat is controlled,tip sizes vary and are plentiful and swapping tips on the fly is quick and ALMOST painless.(just let it cool a bit first)
