I agreed. There are numerous tutorial out there.

Here is a simple one that I've been using;
1. Find a matching front clip from your xmod collection, (RSX, and 350Z works well with the short front bumper shells).
2. Cut or unglue (if you plan on reusing the shell on your MINI Z chassis later on) the mounting white tabs from your Mini Z shells.
3. Take the battery cover from the dummy chassis your Z is came with. Cut it into a size that will fit in your Z Rear end (trunk area)
4. Drill a bunch of hole on the center line of this battery cover piece.
5. Mount this cover piece by screwing it into the Spoiler of the Z body from inside the trunk. (I was able to do this for the Viper and the RX7).
6. Finally, using a shaved evo (or gen1, depends on your chassis) rear clip and use trial and error method to mount it up to the hole you drilled in step four.

This is a cheap way to do it with all part you may have already.
