there is a TUT either on here or on xmf on how to mount model bodies...try
searching...also i believe it was a Bondo TUT...maybe look under his threads
my .02... styrene ( of various thicknesses) can be used/stacked to make appropriate clips for the body...or old credit cards as has been said before
