If it looks like mine, it's the Rochester 4BBL Quadrajet, one of the best stock carbs to use. Even good fuel economy if you set it up right. Run around on the tiny primaries, and then set the linkage to open the massive 2ndaries at 1/2-3/4 throttle.
No reason to
hate carbs, when properly tuned they can be just as efficient as EFI.
