Or, instead of a COTM, make it COTY.
The car will be given away January 2011.
Every car that wins the COTM Jan-Dec 2010 would be entered into COTY in Jan 2011, and the winner of the year gets it.
That way, there's a year for more work to be done to the car, and letting people know NOW what the prize would be, could get people active and get each COTM until then active, so everyone has a chance.
Sounds good to me.
