Xmod evo and street chassis are the same so parts for the Xmod Evo will work for your vehicle.
You want a soldering IRON not a gun. I recommend a 15 watt unit from Wal Mart or Radio Shack. You will also need solder. My favorite solder is Radio Shack silver bearing solder. A couple other things that will help make soldering easier is flux and desoldering braid.
