This is my beater body so it will stay clear. Really the only reason the body is on is for when it flips on it's lid. Some day I may purchase a shelf queen body for the hell of it and paint it green to match the Axial's linkage system, but for now, clear it is.
As well as protecting the lid, with the clear body, I can see at what point of trigger step my ESC and motor is engaging. Too much and I roll slightly backwards from the release of brake, too little and it'll almost "jump" forward. it's setup after a few trials in the beginning, but I just never painted it.
To be honest, I've always liked the looks of partially clear bodies..
