It builds up over time! But if you want something simple and rather cheap. I'd say do mostly RadioShack stuff. Bearings, AWD, motors etc... I'll still get the tight turns upgrade and possibly do a 6 cell for that extra power. Get some f/r GPM joint cups, those would break first. And get hard slicks for drifting and soft slicks/threads for track racing. That should get you well started and on your way. Not to mention under $100.
Exactly that. It does get expensive. I got a full set for $130, minus battery clips, f/r top decks and front swing arms. IMO, good deal.
