It's going to take a lot more then just a rebuild for 300hp. Forced induction is most likely the simple solution, but that might be pushing it as well. Stronger internals, driveline etc... etc......

Sounds like you overworked your FETs, with the increase power of lipo and the locked diff. Any type of binding in your drive line, would easily turn the FETs into smoke when running lipo.

Hard tires would make the car spin more easily. Softer compounds are stickier, but don't last as long. Hard compounds last longer but provide less grip.
