Musicians Corner!

Hey everyone, I haven't been on in a while, you know, life's been busy.

But I figured I'd start a thread for anyone that plays music. :)

So I had my family visiting this weekend and my little cousins who are 9 and 6 wanted to play the instruments i have. The older one wanted to do drums and the younger, piano. So I taught them each somthin rlly simple and then added an easy guitar riff to it. They wanted to play for the parents and this is the vid that was takin. at the end of the video, the very last piano you hear, is me, not my six year old cousin lol. http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/...h_MOV07342.jpg

Cute, nice too see younger people getting into musical instruments and not wasting their life away on video games.:bigwink:

I played in a Thrash Death band, was a school-based band, only played a couple in-town gigs. Nothing all that great, broke up after we finished high-school as we all went into different directions with our careers. Sure, we get back together once in awhile to have a jam session but it doesn't have the same feeling in my opinion.

However, my current guitar that I like to play on is my custom.

Phoned up Schecter Guitars, and they built me a 100% custom, one off guitar.. Lots of money, but why have money if you cannot spend it right?

The specs. on the guitar.

2 Active pickups
2 humbuckers
Floyd Rose bridge(Copper plated)
Copper hardware, screws, strings, frets, etc.
Flat black body
Gloss black pick-guard
Same body as the Jackson V.(Gibson V isn't as awesome looking as the King V from Jackson.. Sorry.)
Left handed head(Right looks good for awhile.. Left is always something different.)

Guitar is pretty much a Jackson King V replica but far better.

thanks,
priciate it. :)

My guitar isn't that great its just a Epiphone Wildkat. I have low quality instruments cuz of my lack of an income. lol. Usually Me and my friends play rock, and im usually on the drums, but since my litle cousins were up I wasn't gonna play down with the sickness if you know what i mean. lol

True that man!

All in all, doesn't matter on what kind of income you are on for a good guitar, you could take a $50.00 starter guitar, not all that well built, normally they come with 1 humbucker and 1 or 2 pick-ups, with that little setup, all you really need is a pedal and an amp and you can make your guitar sound like anything you really want too really.

If you are really wanting to get hard into the metal, and I mean fast paced metal, for say... Slayer, Evile, Metallica(old stuff.. Ride the Lightning, ...And Justice For All, etc.), Megadeth, Destruction, etc. you will be wanting to look into getting a guitar with active pick-ups.

My old one before I knew the reason why my guitar had blown out it's pick-ups, I blew them out by playing to fast. Now I know better and well.. My current custom is very nice for the music I like to play.

That makes sense,

I want to save up for a jackson dinky, but the nice one. I also want a Boss pedal board. Its frustrating cuz I need new stuff for my drums and my keyoard is fallin apart as well. :( I entered to win the musicians friend giveaway as well. like that'll work lol.

In regards to the music, I wanted to learn both heavy and soft stuff so I could appease different crowds. Like Disturbed and....the Fray. Right now My bro is learnin indestructible on the guitar. :) While im learnin some classic rock on the piano and guitar, like queen.
