Xmodification's Challenger... lulz.
Some items that you should have are: Putty (Milliput is probably the easiest to get in Hobby Stores, but Tamiya is the best putty, but hard to come by) Styrene, good to have around for body panels or whatever needs to be scratch made. .20 or .30 styrene should be good. CA glue (essentially super glue), to glue pieces of styrene or whatever together. Dremel or similar item, makes cutting much easier File, for sanding. Sand paper, for sanding. Those should be the basic neccesities for body work. |

Spam aside, When I do bodywork of my own, I use Squardron Green Putty, Contour Putty, Styrene(sheet plastic), plastic tubing, brass tubing, aluminum tubing, old credit cards, old world of warcraft game cards, or any type of durable plastic that won't crack/split when I cut it with an x-acto knife, or drill into it with my hand drill. I also use glue and other bodies to make one unique body/bodykit. Blade. |
the ideals are as follows:
-flow -originality -quality lol just trollin' i think you could try lowering the car, then go for a widebody. putty, most preferrably the two part stuff, is a neccesity, as is drills, sandpaper, files, and a rotary tool |
well i know what i need but , i would like ideals on how i should do a wide body kit dont it to look like a ricer and i know this is off subject but i just in stalled a 30,000 rpm motor and i upgraded all wires and i locked the rear diff and i snapped my dog bones is this normal .. i am going to buy the whole new setup from atomic mods its the dog bones and axel peace... was this from locking my rear diff
|
Do this for the rear.

Your putting a lot more strain on the dogbones, causing them to snap. Besides, RS never designed for the diff to be locked. Alloy dogbones are practically #1 GPM upgrade.
|
well this is what i was going to replace it with what do you all think
http://www.atomicmods.com/images/products/11006.jpg will this be better then just replacing the dogbones? |
yes.
i like the challenger posted above. |
well i will be re shapping my xmod into that pic above i will be doing this in detail its my 1st body transform but, i have been doing body work for the last 5 or 6 years so it should be easy for me... can i use pro grade body filler?
|

Okay, first off, please do not triple post. If nobody has posted after you, use the edit post button. Double/Triple posting is very annoying, and against the rules.
As for your project, good luck. Looks like you have a lot of hours ahead of you, but it has potential. |
Your pictures seem to be mis-directed links. You might want to upload your photos onto photobucket to make this easy on you, and for other people. As I know I don't like clicking on links, and many other people do not as well.
