"The Evolution Continues" per Carson Model Sport
These are the X-24 seen at the Nuremberg Toy Fair 2010. Whether we'll see these here in the USA is anyones guess.
Received word 8/9/10 that these will be released in October 2010. Text from Carson website: "The evolution continues! This new generation of "Dream Cars" are not just toys - no, they are very fast and super detailed models in scale 1:24. Standard equipped with light! In developing this new generation of vehicles have been the emphasis placed on the acceleration, speed, and the possibility for tuning. 2.4 GHz technology ensures trouble-free racing fun. With the optional option parts you can upgrade your model, such as optically with the underbody light. Of course, you can use your model for example go through the installation of ball bearings or engine tuning even faster. Optional X-24 ground parts are available! Design your own "X-24 Race Way" with optimum grip in the living room and get your friends to a race!" http://www.mini-z.ru/wp-content/gall...5/x-24_000.jpg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKakYScEHSk http://www.technicalrp.es/articulos/...2010-1228.html http://www.carson-modelsport.com/de/...rtNr=500407100 http://www.carson-modelsport.com/de/...eile118124.htm Does this packaging look familiar? http://toys.brandora.de/DBImages/pro...407100_1_p.JPG http://www.technicalrp.es/img_bd/gal...00x1200%5D.jpg http://www.technicalrp.es/img_bd/gal...00x1200%5D.jpg http://www.technicalrp.es/img_bd/gal...00x1200%5D.jpg http://www.technicalrp.es/img_bd/gal...00x1200%5D.jpg http://www.technicalrp.es/img_bd/gal...00x1200%5D.jpg http://www.technicalrp.es/img_bd/gal...00x1200%5D.jpg http://www.mariosrcmodels.com/images...gt3_rtr_lg.jpg http://www.carson-modelsport.com/Com...07100_02-1.jpg http://www.carson-modelsport.com/Com...07100_03-1.jpg http://www.carson-modelsport.com/Com...07102_01-1.jpg http://www.carson-modelsport.com/Com...07101_00-1.jpg http://www.carson-modelsport.com/Com...07100_01-1.jpg http://www.mini-z.ru/wp-content/gall...x_x-24_007.png Quote:

But either way, these bodies are pretty nice. But their 1/24 scale ? Thats just a tad big isn't it ? Great find none the less ! |
i doubt its the new xmods,
They have an Audi R8, xmods already have an r8 http://www.carson-modelsport.com/de/...rtNr=500407101 |
doesnt look as cool.
|
almost have to say they are more similar to the revell rpmz, than an xmod. xmods have always been 1/28th. i have 2 of those rpmz and they are 1/24th. set up pretty similar to those. and they are listing them as xmods from what im reading. and from what we have seen in the past the makers of xmods dont buy too many more rights to make new models of cars. suprisingly with this last release they got the audi and the challenger, but once again we see 2 more mustangs, another vette, and another nissan.
cool cars? yeah they appear to be, the new line of xmods? highly doubt it. |
is it just me or does that car look really fat? I mean look at all that "useless" plastic just sitting on the chassis for looks. I am pretty sure you could probably save like 20grams in weight savings if they had removed all that extra plastic. It has the motor pod of a "retro" iwaver, suspension geometry of a Z and the extra fat of a Rpmz, but i am really diggin that Tx though.

wait.. where is the antenna?!?!?!
|
internal 2.4ghz :D
|
ohhh that makes sense... well at least there is a new board we have to test out lmao
|
same as xmods carry case
|
I highly doubt that this will be the next Xmods. RadioShack is not going to take the chance of putting a hobby grade RC into their lineup and hope that it will sell. I would give the bodies a chance, but not the chassis itself.
I'd personally keep my eyes on these websites (the basis of some Xmods bodies) to see if any new bodies will/ could be coming out. http://www.ccp-jp.com/2006_CCP-TOY/R...premium02.html http://www.ccp-jp.com/2006_CCP-TOY/R...premium01.html http://www.ccp-jp.com/2006_CCP-TOY/R...premium03.html http://www.ccp-jp.com/2006_CCP-TOY/R...i/part_01.html While these are Realdrive Minis (thought to be copies of Xmods), the owner that company (CCP) is actually the one who made Xmods. |
Not the RDM dilemma again. I had one, i destroyed it. :)

it would be cool if they were the new models but would be priced at $70 and not much modding im sure but would be cool to have a lambo body or a mclaren f1
