Project '77 Monte Carlo
Okay here is my Monte Carlo since Tmaxxn3 guessed right in Miami Vice Ferrari Tastarossa thread. Okay its about half way completed, I have yet to put the clear coat on. I also have to finish up with my custom chassis extension and the custom hand made front and rear clips. I have a two pics of different two different ride heights for the front kind of lening towards the lowest on what do you think? I am so proud of the paint on this car because there isn't any orange peal or runs or even any of the original plastic showing anywhere, nice and evenly laid paint, I hand painted the white rag top. Will also sell this project on ebay once completely done.

Can post some pics of my custom clips just don't have any right now. Almost forgot was thinkin' bout tryin to lower the back end a little or should I leave it the way it is? |
lowered looks better! but i like the purple it really brings out that time in the cars history (low rida).

The car looks great so far! I say go with the higher ride height, it just looks better in my opinion.

Lower with some fatter tires! White walls ftw.

yes you are welcome boys.

lower with chrome wheels to make it look like a lowrider

I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me where I would be able to buy some extra long screws. The same exact ones that screw the rear spacer to the rear differential casing on the bottom of chassis. I need these screws for the chassis extension that I made.
I might try to lower backend a little tonight or should I leave it the way it is? I will probably use the lower front clip. |
Looking really good! I like the higher ride height personally but that's just me! Definitely do white wall tires!

Body looks good but, you really need some big chrome rims since the BumbleBee rims don't fill the wheel wells at all.

SORRY for the double posting again but have update!! Well got the clear coat on the Monte to personally I don't really see much of a difference a little though. The pics don't really show it though think it might be the flash but actually makes the paint look dull for some reason, looks way better in person. When I sprayed the clear on I was just about going to go on a rampage and stomp on the model because when I sprayed it the paint turned grey, literally grey. But for some reason I just kept putting it on and when I finished the last coat was just about to get ready to take all of the paint off because the whole car was grey and looked like crap. Left very ****ed off came back about 1/2 hour later expecting to see the most hidious car ever but looked fine was so confused:eyecraz: . Can tell there is clear on it but for some reason didn't turnout like the Ferrari all thick and really glossy. Looks almost the same only with the protection of the clear coat. For this car was actually starting to consider on buying an actual xmod spacer for the chassis, I made one for it but not the best or most reliable. The one problem I have is having screws for the extra spacer.
