You need this:
http://www.atomicmods.com/Products/L...er__10040.aspx

And this plugs into it:

http://www.atomicmods.com/Products/1...or__10039.aspx

Read the safety precautions, you need to fully understand the results of inproper care:bigwink:

thatnks alot you were a big help.do you (or anybody else reading this) know how it works (performace wise)

Check out my stuff.
I use lipo packs on all of my cars.
They are well worth the dough.
You read on them yet?
Search youtube for:
"Rc lipo explosions, lipo explosions"

Thatll show you the outcome if poor care:bigwink:
It ain't good, in other words.

ok well atomicmods site has lost all the pages in which explain the explosions that you were talking about so maybe you could give me the basic what not to do or only do this:.... and its compatible with the xmods trucks?

2wdpancar 01-28-2008 05:28 PM

Well they can drop below 3volts, and become worthless(throw em away.)
They can blow up:
-If charged too long
-Drop below 3v
-Overheat
-Temps(too cold/hot)

Get that charger, once it's done IMMIDEATLY take them off, and you're good.
Yes, they are fine for the trucks!

ok well thats preety self explainitory about how long is the charge so i can keep an eye out?and how do i let it not drop below 3v?

Depends on the charger and the batteries. Maybe someone with that exact setup will be able to tell you an approximate time of chrage.

And there's no real way at this scale to keep your cells above 3V. Just run them until the performance drop; this tells you when the voltage is dropping. Then just peak them back up and run again. ;)

Bingo!!!

If you have a 4S LiPo, you'll deff notice.
It's when your car goes SLOWWWWWWWWWWWW.
You'll notice, but you gotta pay very close attention, or bad things will happen.
Just for starters, you should go for a 6cell, taking you don't know much about lithium and the different effects.

well this is what i want http://www.atomicmods.com/Products/X...ck__10399.aspx although you said i dont know much about them im a quick leaner so if somebody tell s me once ill get it in my head, so why would the voltage drop below 3v?and if it does how do i fix it,or i cant? and how do i prevent it from going that low?By the way im getting the 500MAH charger

2wdpancar 01-28-2008 09:37 PM

OK, I'll try to explain again.
They can drop because of low battery life, that's mainly the issues.
Don't keep driving if the power decreases, you'll be able to tell.
You CAN'T fix the 3v issue, once they drop, they're dead.

Just don't charge them unattended, if your house burns down please don't come crying to us.:bigwink:

dylan1 01-28-2008 09:56 PM

ok got it,so lets just say i charge it messaroudn with my xmod but do i drive until the battery is dead like normal batteries because you said once there down there down that kinda got me a litle so just that quick question adn i should be on my way

2wdpancar 01-28-2008 09:58 PM

OK,
No.
You can't drive it until it's dead.
When you see it going low(mAh), STOP.
This is when the batts or one of the cells can drop below 3v, hence making the rest of the pack worthless.
You can salvage it for parts, but yeah...

dylan1 01-28-2008 10:01 PM

alrighty then i think i got it drive it until i notice a decrease in performace?

2wdpancar 01-28-2008 10:06 PM

yeah. exactly.
You'll notice, the speed goes to the speed of the regular stock batteries, then scrappier and crappier, that's when the cells drop below 3v.
Make sure to buy everything though!

dylan1 01-28-2008 10:08 PM

k got it,but will this really "double my top speed like it says it will?

2wdpancar 01-28-2008 10:17 PM

You'll see double top speed, and a lot longer run times.
You won't be disappointed!

dylan1 01-29-2008 04:21 PM

ok wow thats great! And more tourque? or just a top speed difference?

2wdpancar 01-29-2008 08:18 PM

Not torque, really.
It gives it more punch, but the speed is great.:bigwink:

dylan1 01-29-2008 09:07 PM

well i gotta say youve been a big help and ill IM you on your sn
