This is exactly the comp i've been waiting for. i've got my truck mods in mind for months.

theoriganalRiD3R1967 03-06-2009 12:00 AM

oooh, i so hope this comp is not just x-trucks, i have a modified micro dt that i'm itchin to show off...

EDIT: just read the rules in the entry thread, and i see its only x-mods, mods wouldn't by any chance be willing to broaden the acceptable range of chassis would they?, if not no problem, but thought i might as well ask just in case...

zippo855 03-06-2009 12:07 AM

according to the rules it looks like its just xtrucks

Rules for Entering the March “Truck/SUV” Competition:
1. Your entry must be a fully functioning Xmod owned by yourself. Any Xmods entered that are sold to another member/person before or during the competition will be removed/voided.
3. This is a Truck/SUV competition. Only trucks and SUVs are allowed. No exceptions.

More Specifics on Chassis and Body:
1. Your chassis may be any of the three chassis available to you (Xmods EVO Truck, Xmods EVO Touring and Xmods Gen1). Examples: F150 on EVO Touring Chassis. Hummer on Gen1 Chassis. Titan on EVO Truck Chassis.
2. Your body must be a truck. No car bodies are allowed.

We didn't allow them into the car competition, so we're going to allow them into the truck competition. They are a truck, well, close.. Lol.

Cheers,
Kyle.

Bananabrain 03-06-2009 09:36 PM

El camino's are classified as trucks almost every where, ive never seen somone call it a car. :)

zippo855 03-06-2009 09:39 PM

i used to own a 79 ford ranchero, and they are tagged and titled as trucks. some people call them cars because they are based off of a car. the ranchero was basically an ltd with a bed. not sure what the elcamino was based off of on cars. haven't dug into them much

they really dont have much of a bed capacity unless you upgrade the suspension. i know in order to put my 4 wheeler in the back of my rachero i had to put some coil stiffeners in it. but yeah, you pay more to tag it than a car of the same year, because its a truck..........
