Ameteur Xmod Painting
 

This is my first attempt at painting my Mustang. I picked up a can of Stops Rust Rust-Oleum flat enamel paint from AutoZone for my rims on my Civic and thought, "Hey, this should work on plastic too." So, I masked up my mustang last night and tried it on the hood. I say it came out pretty well for my first time. However, I couldn't find my sand paper so I just painted over it. Anyways, I have pictures. I had to go through loops to upload em though.

Looks good, just find yourself a nice can of clear and that sucker will be flawless. :thumleft:

Yeah. I just did the rear bumper for another test. Then I'll probably pick up a can of black gloss this weekend and do that.

I noticed they were scratches and not shiny spots. LOL! Must've play GTA with it. xD

Yeah haha. I was rough with my `Stang. Kept crashing into my kitchen table and chairs and my refrigorator. Once I prime the body black with one or two coats, I`ll be more careful with her. I picked up these 900 mAh NiMH bats at Harbour Freight for $5.99. My xmod flies on low power on these bats wioth stock motor.

Thanks. It's really the only camera I have. I have a Flip Video Camcorder that I can take stills from but they usually come out blurry.

UPDATE: So, I decided to do the whole body, and to be honest, the paint went on nice but my masking ruined it. :[ I didn't get to take any pics of it finished, but I did get some in-progress drying pics.
